Feeding Directions:
Feed EQUINE MERITTM SENIOR HORSE FEED at the rate of 1 1/2 to 2 pounds per 100 pounds body weight daily according to level of activity. Hay or pasture does not have to be fed since EQUINE MERITTM SENIOR HORSE FEED may be fed as a complete feed. If hay is fed, reduce the amount of EQUINE MERITTM SENIOR HORSE FEED by 1 pound for every 2 pounds of hay consumed. Water may be added to feed to form a slurry for feeding to horses that are prone to choke.
The table below shows amount to feed daily along with high quality water to maintain body weight and condition. Use scale or weight tape to determine weight of horse. To attempt to achieve body weight gains of 0.5 to 1.0 lbs per day, feed an additional 3 to 4 pounds of EQUINE MERITTM SENIOR HORSE FEED daily.
